The Rio 2016 Paralympics have begun. Great news for one of the best loved sports bars Bristol has to offer. We’ll be showing the action on our multiple screens. Here are some totally unmissable Paralympic events to watch at Racks. Whatever you do, don’t miss them!
Paralympic events to watch at Racks – Live
Friday 9th September:
Come and watch the fastest Paralympian in the world. Soon after 3pm Jason Smyth will run for Ireland. He may be registered as blind but he has gold in his sights for the 100m final and we think he’ll do it.
Saturday 10th September:
Can Hannah Cockcroft add another gold medal to her collection? Find out when she races for Team GB. Come and watch the 100m wheelchair racing final at 10:06pm.
When former Royal Engineer Micky Yule lay in his hospital bed watching the Paralympics in 2012, he was inspired to get out of bed and compete. His legs had been blown up by an IED in Afghanistan yet he is now competing in the 65kg powerlifting division for Team GB at 8pm.
Wednesday 14th September:
This is when Canoeing makes its Paralympic debut and Jeanette Chippington will race the 200m at 1pm. She was previously a swimmer but has made the change. So let’s see how she fares with this new sport. We think it will be a great one to come and watch.
Do you like to watch ‘Murderball?’ As rugby fans we love this Paralympic sport which is actually called wheelchair rugby. It is such a fantastic and fun sport to watch and it will certainly have you reassessing the boundaries of disability! We think this is a MUST WATCH Paralympic event for customers to see at Racks from 2:30pm.
Customers can now book for Christmas 2016. We’d love to tell you a little more about it so click below if you’re interested.
