The Racks team have got a new member and we’d love to introduce you to her! Our new marketing intern works predominantly on projects for Racks as well as Quarter and after just 4 weeks, she’s made a cracking start. Welcome to the Racks team Lauren!
Just as we’ve chatted to others members of the team, we thought we’d have a chat with Lauren to let you know a little more about her. If you’re tweeting with Quarter or saying hi on the Racks Facebook page then it might just be Lauren on the other end. So, let’s get to know a little bit about her, meet Lauren:
Q: Lauren, do you have any background experience of marketing?
Yes! After my A-levels I started working in marketing straight away. I began with voluntary work, then as an apprentice, then a marketing assistant and now I’m an intern.
Although Lauren is only in the youth of her career, you can see how busy she has been collecting knowledge and working hard to learn about marketing. So what does she like to do in her spare time?
I’m a big lover of writing so in my spare time I run my own alternative fashion blog, incorporating everything I have learned in my marketing roles and putting it into something I love.
It’s a fact that everyone loves Bristol but we asked Lauren exactly what it is that she loves best…
I love Bristol because it’s a vibrant city, there’s always something going on and a lot to see. It’s a constant source of inspiration (and a great location to shoot my blog posts).
Very true! So, talking work: everyone has a funny story from that first ‘awkward’ week in a new job. So…come on Lauren, what’s yours?
During my first week I actually spilled my drink all over my laptop. Luckily my laptop is fine but it didn’t make the situation any less embarrassing!
Oh dear, thank goodness the laptop survived and she managed to keep it fairly quiet… Now that Lauren has begun to settle into her role, we wonder what she is looking forward to?
I don’t think I could pick a favourite. I love everything I have tasted on the menu and am only disappointed that I haven’t tasted it all yet.
Well with all that tasting to come, she’ll need something to wash it down with. We asked Lauren what her favourite tipple is:
Without a question, it has to be rum. Captain Morgan’s has to be my favourite since turning 18 and I haven’t looked back since.
So if we’re getting to know Lauren a little more…what about guilty pleasures?
It would have to be reading Jane Austen novels, my book shelf is full of romance novels (but don’t tell anyone).
So there you have it, a little insight into who our newest team member is. We think she’s going to be a great addition to the team and as our trusted customers we hope you won’t tell a soul about Lauren’s addiction to romance novels, not a word 😉
