We’ve had a great first few weeks back and are looking forward to restrictions (hopefully!!) easing. Our playroom has had a bit of a makeover, featuring some new art. We’ve been working on this for a while but have only just been allowed to share it with you.

A few of the pieces of art we’ve chosen to put up in the playroom come from local Bristol artists, as we want to support the local talent – of which there is so much!

Our newly refurbished playroom is the perfect place to enjoy indoor dining and catching up with friends and family. If you’d like to come and see the artwork in person, book a table with us below.

Here’s some info about the pieces we have chosen for our playroom refurb:

Our pre-loved piece

We believe this lovely piece came from an old circus or carnival ride, we found it unloved in the back of a reformation yard and decided to rehome it at Racks!

Sunbug by Victoria Topping

This is one of our favourites, it sits proudly above the top table. It’s hand-cut and hand finished with a full gold leaf background.

Flower Power by Victoria Topping

This piece compliments the Sunbug beautifully, with small gold foil details which catch in the light. We wanted to bring some colour to the space and this was the perfect piece for the job.

Patience by Zoe Power

Zoë is extensively involved in several community arts projects across the UK, working with local residents and organisations to bring art to the wider community. Her work is also up in our sister restaurant Pizza on the Park!

We would also like to give the team down at Niche Frames a big thanks for framing these pieces and making them look their best up on the walls!

Pop by and see what we’ve been working on in person, you’re going to love what we’ve done with the place.

Love, team Racks.
